Tell us about your business

I help business founders to get out of their own way so they can enjoy their success and get what they want. I am a Transformational Executive Coach, which means I help my clients to create changes at the level of their identity, which is the foundation for all lasting change. We work on what they are doing and who they are being. I am accredited to ACC level with the International Coaching Federation, and I am also a Certified Resilience Coach. I absolutely love my work. It is an honour to spend time with someone and to be given access to their innermost thoughts, hopes and dreams. We then work together to make those dreams a reality.

What made you want to start your own business?

I got the bug for coaching when I experienced the power of transformational coaching in my own life, which was during covid in 2020. I knew I had to change career and follow this new path, which feels like a calling. Coaching helps people to live their lives authentically, so it solves many problems: imposter syndrome, confidence issues, relationship challenges, money problems, feelings of being stuck, procrastination, leadership struggles. It changes lives.

How do you manage the juggle of running your business around being a mum?

I work when the kids are at school and set my own hours, so I don't over-schedule myself. I am very boundaried with that. I make sure that I have time to do what is needed, most of the time. One thing I have learned since becoming a mother is the power of doing things right now: straight away. When time is limited and every chunk of time is already full, it is not a good idea to put things off until later - as later is already full! This has helped me to be more productive and efficient since becoming a Mum.

What’s one thing you’ve learned in your business that you wish you’d known sooner?

I wish I had known sooner the patience that is required to stay on the path to mastery. I was impatient at the start and tried to fast track the evolution of myself and my coaching practice. This just made things take longer!

What’s your go-to Founder Mum life hack that saves you time or sanity?

Right Now - do the thing right now and don't put it off, unless there is a good reason, do it now. This has served me well.

What are your core values when it comes to your business?

Integrity, commitment, honesty, serving instead of pleasing, continual learning and self-development - essential for a coach.

Why did you join the Founder Mums Club?

Community, networking.

What has been your biggest lesson and what's your advice for other Founder Mums?

Set your own boundaries and stick to them. People respect you for it and it makes you more valuable - scarcity breeds value.
