Tell us about your business

I help business owners strengthen their Client Connection by supporting them with planning, organisation, and personality-led marketing. I’m all about creating simple, sustainable systems and strategies that help their business run more smoothly while staying true to who they are. I also support clients with training design and facilitation, an area I’m gradually adding to my business  because bringing people together to learn and collaborate is something I genuinely love. I’ve been running my business for two years, and it continues to evolve (my word of the year!) into the blend of work that feels most aligned with my skills and strengths.

What made you want to start your own business?

I wanted to build a business that worked around family life while  using my skills to support others. I started by helping a friend and ex colleague and quickly realised that many business owners feel overwhelmed juggling marketing, planning and day-to-day operations. I combine practical support with bigger-picture strategy so my clients can stay focused on the work they love without the stress or burning out.

How do you manage the juggle of running your business around being a mum?

I find what works for me is being realistic and intentional. I wanted my business to fit around family life, so I plan my days and weeks around our routine, sometimes that means working in the early morning or at the weekend, but that works for me. You have to realise that you can't do everything at once. Let go of the frustrations and the pressure we put on ourselves (easier said than done I know!), and focus on the small, consistent steps that add up and make a difference - progress over perfection!

What’s one thing you’ve learned in your business that you wish you’d known sooner?

For me it was realising that you don’t have to do everything the way everyone else is doing it. I spent a lot of time early on worrying about all the things I 'should' be doing because I'd seen people talk about how it worked for them. For me, once I started doing things in the way that felt right for me, everything felt more natural and manageable.

What’s your go-to Founder Mum life hack that saves you time or sanity?

Planning out my meals for a week.  I know it's not exciting, but it means I've always got an answer to the inevitable question of 'What's for dinner?'

What are your core values when it comes to your business?

Calm structure - I love creating simple, steady foundations that make life and business feel more manageable.

Connection - I'm all about genuine relationships.  I enjoy working closely with people and getting to know them beyond just their business tasks.

Integrity - I always show up honestly and run my business in a way that feels true to who I am and supportive of the people I work with.

Why did you join the Founder Mums Club?

Because it feels like a community of mums supporting each other, not a networking group, but a community where we all support each other through genuine connection.

What do you love about being a member of the Founder Mums Club?

I love the energy, enthusiasm and support that Tracey and all the Founder Mums Club members bring. It's such a welcoming space where you can just show up as you, whether you're having a brilliant week, or a rubbish week, you can be sure of friendly, understanding support.

What has been your biggest lesson and what's your advice for other Founder Mums?

Don’t underestimate the power of small steps. Consistency, even in little ways, builds momentum and helps you move forward without overwhelming yourself. The other piece of advice I'd share is something someone said to me a few weeks ago, and it really resonated with me - 'Go First'.  I'm naturally very reflective and will think about things before acting, but this linked to the theme of being brave that Tracey encourages, and is a great reminder that sometimes we have to be the ones to take the first step - send the message, make the connection, reach out -  go first, and see what happens.
