Tell us about your business

I'm a creative and mum of two who believes your brand should feel like you – confident, authentic, and magnetic to the right people.

After years working as a graphic designer for large fashion retailers, I realised what was missing: real connection. That's why I founded JM Creative – to work with passionate small business owners (especially women like me) who are ready to stand out and make an impact in their industry.

I don't just design logos. I believe successful branding starts with strategy and collaboration. We dig deep into your business goals, target audience, and competition before touching any design work. The result? A brand that captures the essence of who you are and draws in your dream clients.

My approach is rooted in transparency, creativity, and partnership. This is your brand, and my job is to help you feel confident about it from our first chat to the finished product. What made you want to start your own business?

After working as a graphic designer for large fashion retailers, I loved the creative work but felt something was missing – the personal connection and meaningful impact. Becoming a mum shifted my perspective even more. I wanted to build something of my own and work with women who were doing the same.

That's when I realised the problem so many small business owners face: they're passionate and talented, but their branding doesn't reflect that. They're either stuck with DIY branding that no longer serves them, or they're blending in with competitors instead of standing out. Worse, they're not attracting the right clients – the ones who truly value what they offer.

JM Creative solves this by going beyond just "logo design." I combine strategy with design, taking the time to understand each client's values, goals, and audience before creating anything visual. The result is a brand that feels authentic, differentiates them in their market, and attracts dream clients who are ready to buy. It's about giving business owners the confidence to show up fully as themselves.

How do you manage the juggle of running your business around being a mum?

Some days are easier than others! I think my tip would be to believe in yourself and surround yourself with supporters!

 What’s one thing you’ve learned in your business that you wish you’d known sooner? 

Honestly I wish I left the corporate world years before I did. It's brought me connection, flexibility and I finally feel like I've found 'my people'.

What’s your go-to Founder Mum life hack that saves you time or sanity? 

Pomodoro technique for time management and stopping procrastination!

What are your core values when it comes to your business?

Collaboration, partnership, and honesty.

 Why did you join the Founder Mums Club? 

To meet like-minded women and make the online space a little less lonely.

What has been your biggest lesson and what's your advice for other Founder Mums?  

You can't do it all yourself. At some stage you need to outsource to those that can help take the burden off and help you achieve your goals.
